We can knowledge
We at MESH® RESEARCH see ourselves as a connecting element between science on the one hand and business as well as public administration on the other. We connect the expertise of science to the process of digitization and globalization of society with the demand for individual and organizational competencies in both business and public administration. This means that this process can not only be somehow managed, but successfully shaped.
We would like to meet this demand
- by our active participation in the generation of new knowledge about competence modeling, – explanation, – diagnosis and – development in science as well as by our involvement in university teaching on the topic of competence (basic research and academic teaching),
- by preparing results of competence research in a transdisciplinary perspective for their practical application in companies, public authorities and associations. To this end, we are developing software for smartphones and tablets for the diagnosis and development of individual competencies of specialists and managers directly at their workplaces (development and transfer of practical knowledge and technologies),
- by taking over contract research, development of technologies as well as expert opinions for companies, public administrations and associations on individual and organizational competencies in a digitalized society and globalized economy (applied commission order research).
We apply current research on competence measurement and development
The digitization and globalization of society, companies, public authorities and associations can no longer be mastered with old recipes, let alone managed successfully. Therefore, we provide our clients from the private sector and public administration with our research and development capacities, which we have partly built up internally on the subject of competence and partly realize with external partners in a project-related manner.
In order for scientific knowledge about individual and organisational competencies (“knowing that”) in companies, public authorities and associations to really help, it has to be translated into knowledge that can practically be used by specialists and managers (“knowing how”). We at MESH® RESEARCH therefore build a bridge between
- on the one hand, the quality criteria applicable to research for the production and recognition of new knowledge, namely validity, reliability and objectivity; and
- on the other hand, the acceptance criteria that our customers apply to new knowledge in business and public administration: Understandability and deployment speed, practicality and effectiveness.
In carrying out empirical research, developing technologies that are ready for use and producing expert reports, we at MESH® RESEARCH are therefore committed to the values of the scientific community as well as to the practical relevance criteria in companies, public authorities and associations.
Exemplary research projects and expert opinions
In the development of research designs we accompany our clients intensively, cooperatively and transparently during all project phases.
Empirical research can be carried out for example
- the consequences of the shift from traditional work-life balance demands to the new work-life-blending experience for employees of different generations,
- on the conditions, consequences and success of reintegration measures for older workers and the chronically ill persons in the work process,
- on the effectiveness of various instruments of customer orientation in companies, public authorities and associations.
For example, expert opinions may be issued on:
- the objectives of new working and working time models in New Work, their internal requirements, the precise procedures for their implementation and the expected employee acceptance;
- guiding principles of Digital Leadership and related instruments for managing employees at a distance (home office) and from the side (in self-organised teams),
- Development and evaluation of corporate health management in the digital age.
